Eligibility
Code One Peer Support membership is intended for people aged 18 and over. By purchasing a membership, you confirm you are 18 or older. See our Terms of Service for full membership terms.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Your email address when you sign up for The Handover newsletter, download a free resource, or purchase a membership
- Your name when provided during signup
- Payment information when purchasing a Code One Peer Support membership or The Code One Debrief — this is processed securely by our payment provider and we do not store your card details
- If you hold a Peer Connect or Peer Plus membership, the content of your email exchanges and video calls with your peer. This can include sensitive personal information about your health, wellbeing, and work. We treat this information as confidential — see the Confidentiality section of our Terms of Service for how it's handled and the limited exceptions to confidentiality
We also collect information automatically when you visit our website, including:
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- The device and browser you use
- How you found our website (e.g. via social media or a search engine)
- Buttons and links you click
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you The Handover weekly email if you have subscribed
- Deliver your free downloads and purchased products
- Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it
- Respond to enquiries sent to info@codeonesupport.com
Email Communications
If you subscribe to The Handover, download a free resource, or hold a membership, you will receive emails from Code One Support via Kit (formerly ConvertKit). You can unsubscribe from newsletter and marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Members may still receive service-related emails (such as billing notices or messages from their peer) while their membership is active.
Video Calls
Peer Connect and Peer Plus members have scheduled video calls with their peer via Zoom. We don't record these calls. Zoom processes call data (such as connection information) under its own privacy policy as an independent third party.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects anonymous data about your visit including pages viewed, time on site, and how you arrived. This data does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third Party Services
We use the following third party services to operate Code One Support:
- Kit (ConvertKit) — email delivery and subscriber management
- Kit Commerce — payment processing and billing for Code One Peer Support memberships
- Zoom — video calls for Peer Connect and Peer Plus members
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Microsoft Clarity — website analytics and behaviour tracking (e.g. clicks and scrolling) on our Contact and Debrief pages
- Netlify — website hosting
- Stripe / Gumroad — payment processing for The Code One Debrief
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
International Users & Cross-Border Data Transfers
Code One Support members are based in many countries. Because our service providers (listed above) operate internationally, your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including Australia and the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred across borders in this way. Data Storage and Security
Your email address and name are stored securely by Kit. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate our services as listed above.
